On the 21st of August 2010 officers from Teleorman Anti-corruption Service, under the coordination of the chief prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Teleorman Tribunal, caught in the act a citizen who tried to bribe a police officer from the local Police Inspectorate – the Financial Investigations Unit.

Officers from Covasna Anti-corruption Service and the local Police Inspectorate, respectively the Criminal Investigations Unit and the Operative Investigations Unit, supported by the General Directorate for Intelligence and Internal Protection and the Romanian Intelligence Service, under the coordination of the case prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Sfântu Gheorghe Court, detected three persons, suspected of tax evasion. Following the searches and the catching in the act, over 25.000 cigarette packs, of Ukraine origin, were seized.

During the night of 18th of August 2010, around 00:40, AGD officers within Mehedinţi County Anti-corruption Service, under the coordination of the designated case prosecutor within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Mehedinţi Tribunal and with the support of the General Directorate for Intelligence and Internal Protection, caught in the act three members of a family, namely the father, mother and son, as they were offering money and goods to a police officer in exchange of not drawing a criminal file on the son who had driven a vehicle without having a driving license.

Two citizens from Ilfov county were arrested for 29 days, on the 17th of August 2010, by the order of Bucharest Tribunal, issued following the proposal of the case prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Bucharest Tribunal, under the accusation of trading favours, committed by asking and receiving 1.000 euro in order to facilitate employment within MoAI – the Ministry of Administration and Interior.
