On 01.03.2015, around 23:30 hrs, AGD officers within Covasna Anti-corruption Territorial Unit, coordinated by the case prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Covasna Tribunal, identified a citizen, DJL, as he was driving a vehicle towards Budapest, Hungary. He was stopped in Braşov county and it was ascertained that he transported 3 Romanian citizens, SA, BV and SC, to Hungary, with the purpose to illegally obtain driving licenses issued by Hungarian authorities.
AGD Judicial police officers within Bucharest and Ilfov county Service, under the co-ordination of the case prosecutor within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Ilfov Tribunal, on Sunday, the 22nd of February, caught in the act C.E. as she was giving 400 lei bribe to a police officer.
On Sunday, the 22nd of February, AGD officers within Bistrița-Năsăud Anti-corruption Service, following the denounce from a traffic police agent from Năsăud city, under the co-ordination of the case prosecutor within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Bistrița-Năsăud Tribunal, caught in the act I.P.V. as he was giving 2000 lei bribe to the traffic police agent.
On 20.02.2015, a police agent within Timiş County Police Inspectorate – Jimbolia Police Station, filed a denounce at AGD’s HQ – Timiş Anti-corruption Territorial Unit, on the fact that, on 19.02.2015, he was offered bribe by a citizen to whom he presented the criminal file which was drawn against him. The citizen asked the policeman to destroy the criminal file in exchange for money.
On 16th of February 2015, the case prosecutor within teh Prosecutor’s Office attached to Maramureş Tribunal, drew up the indictment and the following defendants, who were under preventive arrest, were sent to Court:
