VOLUNTARIATE LAW - download (.DOC file)

Voluntariate is a fundamental component of the civil society. It gives life to the noblest strivings of mankind - peace, freedom, opportunity, safety and justice for all persons.
In this age of globalization and continuous changes, the world becomes smaller and smaller, more interdependent, more complex. Voluntariate – at an individual or group level – represents a modality through which:
- the values related to community, the service supplied to the other, the attachment to the other may be consolidated and supported;
- persons may exercise their rights and responsibilities as members of communities while learning and developing themselves during their entire life, thus using their entire human potential;
- connection points may be established between the separating differences so that we may live together in healthy, strong communities, work together for identifying solutions for the faced challenges, and shape our common destiny.
At the beginning of the new millennium, voluntariate represents an essential element of all societies. Voluntariate transforms into action the UN statement according to which 'We, people' have the power to change the world.
